Many businesses right now are re-opening but it’s sometimes difficult to find a way to get the word out. Pandemic or not, business big and small often struggle with finding just the right way that they are opening or re-opening. Maybe you’re opening back up after closing from the coronavirus. Maybe you’re a brand new business and finally able to open your doors. Maybe you had a complete revamp and are ready to come out of the gate. No matter the situation, when you are having trouble marketing face-to-face, you may need to find other ways to advertise.
Social media has become a top resource for people who are wanting to advertise anything during this time of isolation. Creating images, posting videos, and sharing pertinent information can be a great way to publicize to those who are stuck at home on their computers for much of the day. For maximum exposure, marketing experts suggest posting all over various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. Of course, ads on these mediums can also be beneficial. You can use these to reach a larger audience and get the most important information out for a longer period of exposure time. You may even consider starting your own blog. If you do, make sure that you share it on all of your social media, as well.
Another fantastic way to market is through branded merchandise (also called promotional products). Get your name on anything that can be seen over and over again by a high number of people – buttons, hats, yard signs, and t-shirts, to name a few. There are still folks who are getting out and about during this time and they need to be shown who you are. Use or wear your own merch if you’re going out and about. Offer to ship items to others; using a social media offer is a great way to do this. You can also contact friends and family to show off your products and spread the word, such as putting sign in their yards.
Opening up can be a difficult thing to do. Remember to use all of the resources at your disposal in order to gain maximum exposure!
