While not widely recognized or nationally established, many celebrate April as Youth Sports Safety Month. Spring brings out the sun, and many kids will sign up for sports. This is the perfect time to establish sports safety guidelines, explain to parents and kids alike the importance of safety during athletic activities, and give examples of the best actions to take. Some sports teams or parent groups may create a campaign for safety education. Others may simply talk with players about what to do and how to do it. No matter how you spread the message of safety in sports, you need to make an impression. Consider one of these to give away as a reminder to keep their head in the game – and protected.
