Re-opening your business during a pandemic can be a terrifying thought. There are different aspects of business – as well as how a lockdown has affected everyone – in order to be aptly prepared to re-open your doors. A huge question seems to be in regards to employees: how can we best take care of our company’s family?
With so many businesses being put on standby – whether because of financial difficulties or being temporarily shut down – people are banding together in an effort to help. We are all starting to learn who is actually essential in running things throughout the country, who is willing to help others, and the importance of business support. Waiters, bartenders, physical trainers, school teachers, and many others are currently trying to figure out how to make ends meet.
Millennials often get a bad reputation over ridiculous misconceptions, thanks to being mistaken as Gen Z’ers. As a millennial myself, I often become annoyed at people thinking that my peers and I are off partying, blowing our money on new clothes, just starting out in the workforce, etc. I’ve honestly never quite been sure if people purposefully confuse millennials with Generation Z or if they are just ignorant of the age differences.
There are several areas of our lives in which we are trying to feel out what to do, how to do it, and what hurdles we will face. A huge one for business owners right now is how – and if – we should advertise.
Most of us are working from home; the spouses of essential employees hope that nothing is brought into their homes; and many schools have been cancelled through the end of the school year. Parents are being thrust into homeschooling their kids, many of who have no idea how to do this – especially while being a working parent.
With everything going on in the world right now – particularly because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) – many employees are now having to work from home in order to make sure that business continues as well. For those who are not used to working remotely, the idea of trying to work from the comfort of your home can seem intimidating.
