Are you ready to be swamped by green?! St. Patrick’s Day is approaching (March 17) and it’s time to prepare for the festivities! St. Patrick’s Day is a particularly great day for restaurants and bars, seeing as there is a huge association between the day and alcohol – Irish are stereotypically drinkers. So pour that green beer and keep it going.

But what about the rest of us? If you’re not in the business of alcohol, you may find it difficult to monetize on the opportunities that St. Patrick’s Day provides. Let’s look at a few ways that you can bring in the customers who relish in the day:

  • Anyone wearing green can be entered in a drawing. The drawing can be for absolutely anything that you deem worthy: a free haircut, a huge discount, an autographed book – get creative!
  • Kids dressed as sprites or fae get a freebie. This is great for places like kids’ clothing stores, amusement parks, or indoor play places. Check out our Irish products for some awesome ideas.
  • Offer an Irish trivia game. People love showing off their smarts. Give something interactive and folks will come through your door in herds. And those who participate are more likely to buy!

Any day can be used as a focal point for your business, especially if it’s a well-known day that everyone is already celebrating. So pass out the four-leaf clovers, wear green proudly, and watch out for those fairy circles!
