Holding meetings can be extremely difficult, especially in the age of COVID. Zoom meetings are becoming all the rage, which can drag people down. Not seeing each other face-to-face can lead to long meetings, since there is little check in time. Then again, some companies prefer a daily check in, which can be overwhelming. Morning meetings can lead to little productivity. The list goes on and on.

Meetings don’t have to be treacherous, though. Once you define the purpose of your meeting and your agenda, you’re halfway there! Make sure you plan out what you want to cover so that you can make better use of your time. Passing out an agenda beforehand can be extremely helpful in keeping the conversation moving. Also, have an idea for how to close the meeting. If you have needs that require volunteers, make sure you cover that quickly before wrapping up.
