We all know that personal protection equipment (or PPE) has been a prevalent topic lately. Everyone is looking for masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and other products to help us try to flatten the curve. But there’s an entire section of products that folks may be missing out on: reusable items.
As we begin going out and about, we’re becoming more aware of how much human contact has been the norm for so long. Even something as simple as passing things to each other has begun to cause a sense of unease. So, instead of risking it, let’s start bringing our own … whatever it is.
Last year, reusable straws became a hot item as people became more concerned about the environmental effects of discarding plastic straws. Made from all types of materials, reusable straws are now becoming more commonly seen in homes, office desks, and purses. They can be used for more than just protecting the planet; we can utilize them for protecting ourselves. Reduce the risk of handling contaminated straw wrappers by having your own straw on hand.
Another helpful item is a water bottle. Carrying around your own water / sports bottle works to prevent handling cups that may not have been washed properly or the plastic cups that everyone at the office touches. These are also a great gift for employees as they slowly come back to work.
Reusable items seem to be the secret PPE products that few are discussing. Let’s use everything we can to keep ourselves and others safe.
