It’s never too late to start fresh. If you’re not quite sure where to begin, try reflecting on what you want to accomplish in the second half of the year. What did you miss in the first half? What can you do differently in the second half?

If you’re like most people, the first half of the year flew by in a blur and you don’t even remember what your goals were. That’s OK!

It’s time to get back on track and hit the reset button. Set some new goals. Make them realistic and achievable, and be sure to write them down so you can reference them later. July is the perfect month for a midyear reset, so don’t let it pass you by!

What have you learned during the first half of 2022? What can you do about it? Apply what you’ve learned.

Revisit your target audience – Ask yourself: who am I talking to? How am I reaching them? Am I reaching them at all? If you’re not talking to the right audience, then maybe it’s time to make a change. Recraft your message. Or, maybe try a new audience entirely.

Distribution plan – try new platforms. Try new means of communication: blogs, videos, social media platforms, etc. Try new posting times. Mix things up. See what works and what doesn’t. In general, try new things. Tools are just tools. Use ‘em!

Get yourself in print – try guest blog posts: “five ways to do X“ send those articles to trade publications in your industry and get your name out there. Go on Podcasts. Go on live streams. Make yourself available to the movers and shakers in your industry and share your expertise. Become the authority.

Be flexible – things change. Platforms change. Customers change. You have to be able to adapt and be able to foresee changes. Roll with it and make things work for you.

Remain teachable – The world will keep turning either with you or without you. Learn new things. We don’t all have to be dancers and singers on TikTok, but we need to adopt the platforms where the attention is. Take advantage of what’s out there for you. Be seen. Again, learn new things. The world won’t wait for you.

WAWICFEE – worry about what I control – F everything (or everyone) else (thanks Doc Rock)
