When Coca-Cola teams up with Marvel, magic happens.

On April 8, Coca-Cola announced that it is collaborating with Marvel—which is owned by Disney—for a new kind of promotion. Through scannable Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar packaging, consumers will be able to win prizes, get digital collectibles, and even have 30 different Marvel characters come to life through augmented reality.

Cans and bottles of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar will feature Marvel characters plastered onto the soda in the familiar red, white, and black color scheme of Coke products. Fans will then scan the QR codes to join the excitement, which includes prizes like Disney+ subscriptions and Disney cruises. Coca-Cola’s website shows how the process works for Coke drinkers. This includes scanning “Matchups” for exclusive AR experiences.

The promotion has been opened around the world and will end June 30, 2024.
