People love recognition. Even people who want to work ‘behind the scenes’ want to be thanked for all that they do. Recognizing when someone rocks at what they do is a great way to lift someone up, which helps improve what they’re already doing so well.
But no matter what happens … rule number one: don’t panic. By reminding ourselves of this, we can stop at the beginning of the situation and allow ourselves a moment to evaluate.

Millennials often get a bad reputation over ridiculous misconceptions, thanks to being mistaken as Gen Z’ers. As a millennial myself, I often become annoyed at people thinking that my peers and I are off partying, blowing our money on new clothes, just starting out in the workforce, etc. I’ve honestly never quite been sure if people purposefully confuse millennials with Generation Z or if they are just ignorant of the age differences.
Today, I sit in my home for the third week, anxiously awaiting the day that the stay-at-home order (due to COVID-19) is lifted. As it is, there is at least the rest of this month left of being at home, people working remotely, children learning through online classes, and only “essential” businesses and activities being permitted. While we all sit and wait, people are beginning to deal with regular panic attacks and depression. So what can we do to help stifle the negative energy that is surrounding us during these trying times?
Most adults these days have a problem with gratitude… With such a fast-paced society, we forget to take a moment to stop and think about what all is going right. We’re too worried about bills, work, responsibilities, and health to reflect on all of the positive.
